A home-kitchen version of chocolate pie filling, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cocoa
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 c. sweet milk
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
Mix sugar, cocoa and flour together.
Mix milk and eggs together.
Combine these 2 mixtures.
Cook in double boiler until thick.
Add butter as mixture starts to thicken.
Cool mixture. Add vanilla.
