A home-kitchen version of chocolate sheet cake, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 2 c. flour (self-rising)
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 sticks butter
- 4 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
Sift
flour;
add
sugar.
Melt
butter;
add cocoa and water to
butter
and bring to a boil.
Pour over dry ingredients.
Add buttermilk, eggs
and
vanilla.
Mix well and pour into greased 16 x 10 x 1-inch pan.
Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
