Dipped Chocolate Candy

A home-kitchen version of dipped chocolate candy, written step by step so it's easy to follow built around good chocolate and pantry staples.
Ingredients
- 10 oz. Angel Flake coconut
- 1/2 c. margarine, softened
- 3 c. pecans
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. boxed powdered sugar
- 1 can Eagle Brand condensed milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 4 small (6 oz.) or 2 large (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
- solid shortening
Method
Mix first 7 ingredients in large bowl and freeze.
Roll into balls or small thin logs.
Stick toothpicks into balls and freeze.
