Dirt Dessert

A home-kitchen version of dirt dessert, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 1/2 stick butter (oleo)
- 1 c. confectioners sugar
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1 (6 1/2 oz.) pkg. chocolate instant pudding
- 3 c. milk
- 1 (12 oz.) tub Cool Whip
- 1 1/2 lb. Oreo cookies, crushed
Method
Mix the first 3 ingredients in one bowl.
Mix the pudding, milk and Cool Whip in a large bowl, then blend and fold cream cheese mixture into Cool Whip mixture.
Layer cookie crumbs with the chocolate pudding combination in a clear glass container and decorate as you see fit.
Can be served with a little toy shovel. You can end with a crumb mix on top and put an artificial flower in center.
