A chinese take on soy vinaigrette(nuoc xi dau giam), written step by step so it's easy to follow built around good beef and pantry staples.

Ingredients
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp. ginger, peeled and minced
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
- 1/4 c. water
- 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
Method
In a jar, combine all the ingredients and shake well. Dressing will keep in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Makes about 3/4 cup.
