Apple Spice Cake

A home-kitchen version of apple spice cake, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 1 (2 layer size) pkg. yellow cake mix
- 1 (4 serving size) pkg. vanilla instant pudding
- 1 c. Mott's applesauce
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. oil
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. ground allspice (optional)
- 1/2 c. raisins, finely chopped (optional)
Method
Combine all ingredients in large mixer bowl.
Blend well, then beat at medium speed of electric mixer (4 minutes).
Pour in 2 greased and floured 8 x 4-inch loaf pans.
Bake at 350° for 50 to 55 minutes or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool in pan 15 minutes.
Remove.
Finish cooling on a rack.
