Banana Bread

A home-kitchen version of banana bread, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.

Ingredients
- 2/3 c. margarine
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 4 Tbsp. milk
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. mashed bananas
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
Cream margarine and sugar; add eggs.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
Add flour mixture and milk to creamed ingredients, then add mashed bananas, nuts and vanilla.
Pour into a greased loaf pan or bake as cupcakes.
(Makes 2 dozen cupcakes.)
Bake at 350°.
Cook the loaf for 45 minutes, cook the muffins for 25 minutes.
