Ingredients

  • 1 lb. bulk sausage, crumbled and cooked
  • 1 pkg. herb croutons
  • 1 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/4 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced (or small can)
  • 2 1/4 c. milk
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 can (10 3/4 oz.) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 tsp. prepared mustard

Method

  1. In a 9 x 12-inch casserole dish, layer the sausage, croutons, cheese and mushrooms.

  2. Mix the milk, eggs, soup and mustard in a bowl and beat together until will blended.

  3. Pour milk mixture over layers in casserole and refrigerate overnight or up to 24 hours. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.

  4. Let stand 15 minutes before serving. Serves 10 to 12.
