A home-kitchen version of chess squares, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 stick oleo
- 4 eggs
- 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
- 1 lb. confectioners sugar
Method
Melt oleo and beat with cake mix and 1 egg.
Press in 9 x 13-inch dish.
Beat cream cheese, eggs and confectioners sugar together.
Pour on top of the cake mix and bake at 350° for about 45 minutes.
Cut into small squares when cool.
