A home-kitchen version of chex muddy buddies, written step by step so it's easy to follow built around good chocolate and pantry staples.
Ingredients
- 9 c. Chex cereal
- 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. peanut butter
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
Method
Measure out ingredients. Pour cereal into bowl; set aside. Combine chips, peanut butter and margarine in microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on High 1 to 1 1/2 minutes. Stir until smooth. Stir in vanilla. Pour over cereal. Stir until well coated. Pour into a zippered bag with powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until coated. Pour onto foil. Cool. Store in airtight container.
