Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

A home-kitchen version of chocolate oatmeal cookies, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 1 stick margarine
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 2 c. sugar
- 3 c. oats
- 3/4 c. peanut butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 c. nuts (optional)
Method
Melt butter in saucepan.
Add
milk,
cocoa
and sugar. Stir well and boil for 1
minute.
Take from heat and immediately add peanut butter.
Stir
well.
Add
vanilla, oats and nuts; stir well.
Drop from teaspoon quickly onto wax paper.
