Christmas Walnut Clusters

A home-kitchen version of christmas walnut clusters, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
- 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp. double acting baking powder
- 2 c. chopped California walnuts
- confectioners sugar
Method
Preheat oven to 350°.
Grease cookie sheets.
In large bowl with mixer at medium speed, beat all ingredients except walnuts and confectioners sugar until well mixed, occasionally scraping bowl with rubber spatula.
Stir in walnuts.
Drop mixture by rounded teaspoonfuls, 1/2 inch apart, onto cookie sheet.
Bake 10 minutes.
Remove cookies to wire racks; cool.
Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
Makes 36.
