Crisp Oatmeal Cookies

A home-kitchen version of crisp oatmeal cookies, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. white sugar
- 3 c. oatmeal
- 1 c. nuts
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. soda
Method
Cream the shortening and sugars. Add eggs, oatmeal and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture.
Add nuts.
Mix thoroughly.
Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes.
Makes approximately 120 cookies.
