Dishpan Cookies

A home-kitchen version of dishpan cookies, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.

Ingredients
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 2 c. granulated sugar
- 2 c. oil
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 c. flour
- 1 1/2 c. quick cooking oats
- 2 c. coconut
- 4 c. corn flakes, not crushed
- 6 oz. chocolate chips
- 1 c. nuts (optional)
Method
Cream together the sugars, oil and eggs.
Add baking powder, salt, flour and oats; mix well.
Then add coconut, corn flakes, chocolate chips and nuts (optional).
Mix well.
Drop on cookie sheet.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 325°.
This takes a very large bowl to mix in.
