A home-kitchen version of french chocolate pie(serves 6), written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 1/4 lb. unsalted butter
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 2 sq. chocolate, melted
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 eggs
- graham cracker crust
- 1/2 c. whipping cream
- toasted almonds
Method
Cream butter and sugar.
Add melted chocolate and vanilla. Add one egg at a time, beating 3 minutes after each.
Prepare favorite graham cracker crust and bake.
Cool.
Add filling and refrigerate.
When ready to serve, cover pie with whipped cream and toasted almonds.
