Mamma'S Sugar Cookies

A home-kitchen version of mamma's sugar cookies, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 1 c. oil
- 1 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 c. plain flour
Method
Combine oil, butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla; mix well.
Add baking soda, salt, cream of tartar and flour to mixture.
Mix well. Refrigerate over night.
Roll into 1 inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Press with glass dipped into sugar.
Bake 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
Edges should be light golden brown. Do not over cook.
