Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground meat
  • 1/2 c. uncooked rice
  • 1/3 c. water
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic salt
  • 15 oz. tomato sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/3 c. chopped onions
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. celery salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 tsp. sugar

Method

  1. Heat oven to 350°.

  2. Mix meat, rice, 1/3 cup water, onion, salt, garlic and pepper.

  3. Shape into round balls.

  4. Place balls in an ungreased baking dish (8 x 8 x 2-inch).

  5. Stir together remaining ingredients and pour over meatballs.

  6. Cover with foil and bake 45 minutes.

  7. Uncover and bake 15 minutes longer.
