Peanut Blossoms

A home-kitchen version of peanut blossoms, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/3 c. white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 bowl sugar (1 c.)
- 3/4 c. peanut butter
- 1/3 c. packed brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 bag Hershey's Kisses
Method
Mix all ingredients, except for the 1 bowl of sugar.
Roll dough in 1-inch balls and roll in bowl of sugar.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes. While still hot from oven, press one Hershey's Kiss carefully into the top of each cookie.
Cool and enjoy!
This recipe makes about 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
