Ingredients

  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 6 oz. chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/3 c. cooking oil
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Method

  1. Combine first four ingredients and mix well.

  2. Stir in chocolate chips.

  3. Mix together flour, 1 cup sugar, cocoa, soda and salt.

  4. Add water, oil, vinegar and vanilla.

  5. Beat well.

  6. Fill cupcake papers 1/3 full of chocolate mixture.

  7. Top each with cream cheese mixture.

  8. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.

  9. Makes 18 to 20 cupcakes
