Crock-Pot Pepper Steak

A chinese take on crock-pot pepper steak, written step by step so it's easy to follow built around good beef and pantry staples.

Ingredients
- 1 to 1 1/2 lb. round steak
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 c. bean sprouts, drained
- 1 c. tomatoes
- 2 green peppers, cut in strips
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp. cold water
- 4 green onions, sliced or 1 onion
Method
Slice steak into narrow strips.
In skillet, brown steak in oil.
Combine with garlic, salt, pepper, soy sauce and sugar in crock-pot.
Cook on low 6 to 8 hours.
Turn control to high.
Add bean sprouts, tomatoes and green peppers.
Dissolve cornstarch in water and stir into pot.
Cover and cook on high 15 to 20 minutes. Serves 4.
