Ingredients

  • 1 to 1 1/2 lb. round steak
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 c. bean sprouts, drained
  • 1 c. tomatoes
  • 2 green peppers, cut in strips
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp. cold water
  • 4 green onions, sliced or 1 onion

Method

  1. Slice steak into narrow strips.

  2. In skillet, brown steak in oil.

  3. Combine with garlic, salt, pepper, soy sauce and sugar in crock-pot.

  4. Cook on low 6 to 8 hours.

  5. Turn control to high.

  6. Add bean sprouts, tomatoes and green peppers.

  7. Dissolve cornstarch in water and stir into pot.

  8. Cover and cook on high 15 to 20 minutes. Serves 4.
