Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies

A home-kitchen version of easy chocolate chip cookies, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. water
- 1 c. chocolate chips
Method
Cream shortening and sugars in mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
Beat in egg.
Add salt, soda, flour and water; mix well. Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350° for 11 minutes, or until lightly browned.
Cool on cookie sheet.
