Japanese Fried Rice

A chinese take on japanese fried rice, written step by step so it's easy to follow built around good beef and pantry staples.

Ingredients
- 1 c. rice (medium grain)
- 1 lb. ground beef or round steak, cut into small cubes
- 3 carrots, sliced thin
- 3 green onions, chopped
- salt and pepper to taste
- sprinkle of Accent seasoning
- soy sauce
Method
Wash rice in several cold water rinses until water is clear. Put into 3-quart saucepan with water to cover rice, about 1-inch from top of rice. Cook on high until this boils.
Turn on low heat with lid until all water is absorbed and rice is tender and flaky. Turn heat off and let steam with lid on.
