A home-kitchen version of joy's divinity, written step by step so it's easy to follow that comes together with everyday ingredients.
Ingredients
- 2 egg whites, beaten
- 1/2 c. hot water
- 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
- 1/4 tsp. (dash) salt
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Method
Cook from 248° to 250° to 260°, depends on weather.
If humid, turn oven on to help dry out room.
Pour syrup into dry egg whites; mix until pulls from bottom of bowl and does not shine so much.
Add coloring and pecans.
Spoon out on wax paper.
