Raisin Walnut Shortbread Bars

A home-kitchen version of raisin walnut shortbread bars, written step by step so it's easy to follow that comes together with everyday ingredients.

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/8 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
- 1 c. raisins
- 1/2 c. flaked coconut (optional)
Method
Heat oven to 350°.
Lightly grease an 8-inch square pan. Combine flour and sugar.
Using pastry blender or fork, cut in margarine until mixture resembles fine meal.
Press into greased pan.
Bake for 20 minutes, or just until edges are golden.
