A home-kitchen version of strawberry pie, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.

Ingredients

  • 2 (9-inch) pie shells, baked and cooled
  • 1 large pkg. strawberry Jell-O
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 qt. strawberries
  • 3 c. cold water
  • 4 Tbsp. cornstarch

Method

  1. Cook until thickened.

  2. Mix well.

  3. Allow to cool.

  4. Slice 1 1/2 quarts strawberries in pie shells.

  5. Pour cooled mixture over strawberries.

  6. Chill at least 3 hours before serving.

  7. If you want only 1 pie, use small box of Jell-O and half of each of the other items.
