Apple Nut Torte

A home-kitchen version of apple nut torte, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 1 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 c. Mazola oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. unsifted flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 4 medium pie apples, sliced
Method
Mix all ingredients except nuts and apples thoroughly. Add nuts and apples and mix lightly. Pour into 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle with more nuts. Bake 1 hour at 350°.
