A home-kitchen version of date cookies, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. Crisco
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 1/2 c. chopped dates
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 3 whole eggs
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 c. cherries
Method
Cream the Crisco and sugar until smooth. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat until smooth. Add other ingredients.
Preheat oven to 375°.
Bake until brown.
