A home-kitchen version of egg custard, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.

Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 2 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- ground cinnamon
- 1 pie shell
Method
Preheat oven to 400°.
Bake empty pie shell 5 minutes.
Remove from oven; set aside.
