Fresh Apple Cake

A home-kitchen version of fresh apple cake, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.

Ingredients
- 3 c. chopped, raw apple
- 2 c. flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening (I used 1 stick oleo)
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Method
Mix all ingredients together.
Bake in a greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan.
Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
I use a tube pan.
