Fruit Cake

A home-kitchen version of fruit cake, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 lb. butter
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 5 eggs, beaten together
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. lemon flavoring
- 1 lb. candied cherries, cut medium
- 1 lb. candied pineapple, cut medium
- 4 c. pecans, chopped
Method
Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs.
Sift flour 3 times with baking powder.
Add to butter and egg mixture.
Add flavorings, fruits and nuts.
