Peanut Butter Cookies

A home-kitchen version of peanut butter cookies, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 c. peanut butter (creamy or chunky)
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
Method
Cream shortening, sugars, vanilla and eggs.
Beat; stir in peanut butter. Sift dry ingredients. Stir in creamed mixture. Drop on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 10 minutes.
