Refrigerator Cookies

A home-kitchen version of refrigerator cookies, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. light brown sugar
- 1 unbeaten egg
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped pecans
Method
Mix sugars and shortening; add vanilla and egg.
Mix dry ingredients.
Add to sugar mixture.
Fold in nuts.
Roll in wax paper and refrigerate at least 1 hour before baking.
Bake at 375° for 10 minutes.
