Snickerdoodle Cookies

A home-kitchen version of snickerdoodle cookies, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 2 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs, unbeaten
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cinnamon
Method
Sift together flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt.
Add shortening and sugar; beat at low speed.
Add eggs.
Batter should be dough-like; chill in refrigerator.
Roll into balls.
Bake at 350° for 10 minutes.
