Taco Casserole

A mexican take on taco casserole, written step by step so it's easy to follow built around good beef and pantry staples.

Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 envelope taco seasoning mix
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 c. cottage cheese
- 2 c. crushed tortilla chips
- 2 c. shredded Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
Method
Preheat oven to 350°.
In a large skillet, brown ground beef; remove from heat and drain off any excess liquid. Add onion, garlic powder, taco seasoning mix and tomato sauce; mix and set aside.
