Pecan Cornbread

A american take on pecan cornbread, written step by step so it's easy to follow that comes together with everyday ingredients.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
- 1 c. unbleached flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. half and half
- 3/4 c. butter, melted
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
Method
Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl; make a well in center of mixture.
Set aside.
Combine half and half and remaining ingredients.
Add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened.
Pour batter into a well-greased loaf pan.
Bake at 375° for 45 to 50 minutes or until golden.
Remove from pan and serve immediately or cool on a wire rack.
