Preacher Cookies

A home-kitchen version of preacher cookies, written step by step so it's easy to follow that's worth the oven time.
Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. powdered cocoa
- 2 c. quick oats
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
Put sugar, butter and milk in a heavy saucepan.
Bring to a boil and boil for 3 minutes while stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
stir in cocoa, oats and vanilla.
Mix well. Drop by teaspoon onto waxed paper.
Cool 30 minutes.
Yields 3 dozen.
