A home-kitchen version of sweet chex-mix, written step by step so it's easy to follow that comes together with everyday ingredients.
Ingredients
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 c. white syrup
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 box Chex cereal
Method
Mix brown sugar, butter and syrup.
Boil for 3 to 4 minutes in microwave.
Add baking soda and vanilla; stir it up good.
Spray paper bag with Pam.
Pour box of cereal in bag, then add mixture. Stir up good.
Put in microwave and cook on Full power for 1 1/2 minutes.
Shake bag well.
Put back in 1 1/2 minutes.
Shake well again.
Put back in 1 minute more, then shake.
Pour onto wax paper.
